About Abby

Abby Chin has been named Partner, effective immediately. Her promotion reflects outstanding legal acumen, leadership, and steadfast dedication to civil rights, personal injury, and wrongful death litigation. She has helped secure multiple multi-million dollar results for clients, including one of the largest jury verdicts in Ohio in 2025. She is known for her meticulous preparation, persuasive courtroom presence, and dedication to holding powerful institutions accountable. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law and a student-athlete of the University of Louisville (B.A. in Legal Writing and Economics). She clerked for Judge Timothy S. Black and Judge John E. Steele. In 2025, she was selected as one of Columbus Business First’s 40 Under 40 honorees. She specializes in civil rights litigation, wrongful death, police misconduct, business, and complex injury cases. She was a Division I swim team captain, a three-time U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier, and an Ironman finisher. She coaches age-group swimmers, mentors law students, and serves as Past-President of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Central Ohio. She lives in Grandview with her husband and their dog, Rocket. She believes the law should be used to do good-to help people, to protect people, and to ensure justice when something terrible happens.
