Aida M. Van Herk, R.N., J.D., has experience as both a registered nurse and lawyer. Prior to attending law school, she spent over ten years as a practicing nurse in Women’s Health and critical care. Applying her extensive clinical expertise to the law, she first began working at a boutique medical malpractice firm, defending some of New England’s most prominent healthcare systems. She then went on to work with the largest health care staffing company in the country, handling both healthcare professional licensing issues and multimillion-dollar medical negligence matters. Today, she specializes in representing plaintiffs in medical malpractice, personal injury, health care fraud, and elder abuse. Ms. Van Herk uses her critical eye to caution against taking cases that might at first blush appear as strong liability, and also to uncover medical facts that support cases that others have declined. She takes the same compassionate and dedicated approach that she did while practicing as a nurse and applies it to each and every client’s case, ensuring the best possible outcome. She is devoted to producing superior results, and guided by her unwavering commitment to obtain the justice that her clients deserve.
