About Albert

Mr. Sophiea has been a practicing attorney in Michigan for 30 years and is licensed to practice law in both State and Federal courts. A lifelong Michigan resident, Mr. Sophiea earned both his undergraduate and law degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He is a former City of Warren Zoning Board of Appeals Member. Having served over four years in that capacity, Mr. Sophiea stepped down from that position when he was appointed Magistrate of the 37th District Court in Warren, Michigan. For the past 20 years, Mr. Sophiea's practice has been concentrated in areas of personal bankruptcy and collection defense. He has successfully and compassionately guided thousands of financially distressed individuals and families through very difficult times in their lives. His conservative approach includes negotiating and implementing out-of-court resolutions whenever possible, both to maintain his client's financial viability and to keep attorney fees affordable.
