About Amanda

Growing up just outside the nation’s capital was fast paced and eventful to say the least. Transitioning to rural South Carolina to attend Clemson University was initially just short of a culture shock, but I quickly fell in love with the southern way of life. After earning my B.A. at Clemson, with a minor in legal studies, I packed my bags and headed to Knoxville, Tennessee to pursue my law degree. While at Clemson, I was fortunate enough to be a part of the first mentorship program specifically geared toward pre-law students. Being able to shadow a family law attorney twice a week during my junior and senior years was not only eye-opening, but also allowed me to realize I had an interest in family law. Following undergrad, I interned for South Carolina Legal Services in Greenville, South Carolina, where I was able to work with a variety of attorneys in differing legal fields. During law school, I did everything I could to pursue a career in family law. I interned here at Rech Law, P.C. for two years, in which time I fully developed my passion for family law and the desire to have a career in said field. In addition to interning during law school, I also served on three executive boards, and participated in a federal criminal trial practice class, which gave me hands on experience writing pleadings and arguing in front of federal judges. In my free time, you can find me traveling, whether it be down the street or out of the country. I also love being outdoors, playing with my miniature schnauzers, Harper and Hunter, and cheering on my Clemson Tigers! Being a child of divorce, I know how hard this process is for every party involved. As such, my driving motivation is to make what is often the worst and most tumultuous time in a person’s life as easy to comprehend as possible. I believe that each case, and each client, deserve a hands-on, one-on-one approach to whatever they may be going through. It is my goal to help clients not only understand every option they have, but to remain compassionate and understanding throughout the entire process.
