About Amita

Amita received her undergraduate degrees from Penn State University in 2010 and her law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2013. Amita is licensed to practice law in Connecticut. She practices both in state and federal courts. Amita now primarily focuses her practice on litigation of personal injury matters on behalf of the injured party and their families, although she accepts other civil litigation matters. She is eager to use her knowledge and skills to zealously represent her clients. Amita developed a strong civil and commercial litigation practice at a firm in Waterbury for approximately eight years, representing her clients in various disputes, including labor and employment matters, business and/or commercial transactions, liability stemming from involvement in closely held corporations, professional malpractice, and personal injury. Amita has tried several cases to verdict, both bench and jury. She has also successfully arbitrated and mediated a multitude of cases on behalf of her clients, often obtaining results better than the defendant’s “final offer”. Amita has represented the interests of her clients through hearings for various administrative agencies, various courts and through private dispute resolution. Amita has also written and argued several appeals at the Connecticut Appellate Court level. At the outset of her career, Amita spent several years working for insurance companies, defending personal injury claims, including work-related injuries. Through that time, she was able to glean insight into valuation and defense of personal injury claims-something which provides an invaluable benefit to her clients. Amita has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star since 2016, an honor which is given to only a very small percentage of attorneys throughout the state.
