Ann Simpson Trousdale was born and raised in Florence, Alabama. Ann Simpson graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Consumer Sciences and a minor in Criminal Justice. Ann Simpson earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2025. While in law school, Ann Simpson co-authored an article, “The Better Position Rule, Not the Loss of Chance Doctrine, Applies in Alabama Medical Liability Cases,” which was published in the American Journal of Trial Advocacy in 2024. She also gained valuable practical experience through her involvement with the Law School’s clinical programs, which provide pro bono legal services to members of the community. Ann Simpson was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in September of 2025. She resides in Birmingham.
