About Anne

Anne Rife’s practice, over the past twenty+ years, has focused on Federal Black Lung defense and workers’ compensation insurance defense with an emphasis on Medicare liens and Medicare Set-Asides. Her practice has evolved with amendments to the Medicare Secondary Payer Act and the significant growth of the Medicare compliance industry, since Anne began publishing and presenting on this topic in 2003. Anne’s career in Bristol has uniquely placed her within an hour from many hearing locations for Federal Black Lung Claims, Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission claims, and Tennessee Department of Labor claims, allowing for a wide array of experience with occupational diseases and accidents claims tied to factories, coal mines, natural resources companies, and the service industry. Balancing her career are Anne’s husband and children and their many activities, her volunteer work as a Tennessee-certified Trustee of the Bristol Public Library, Treasurer of the Library Board and Chair of the Finance Committee, and a love of reading, running, and counseling friends and former law school students as they develop their careers.
