About Art

Arthur W. Stevens III, a Partner at Black, Chapman, Petersen & Stevens, focuses on Social Security Disability and Workers’ Compensation. Born in Idaho, he lived abroad in Burma and Brazil before graduating from Whitman College in 1978 and The Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College in 1984. He began his legal career defending the State Accident Insurance Fund (SAIF) before dedicating himself to representing injured and disabled individuals. He has been awarded the highest possible Peer Review Rating in legal ability and ethical standards by Martindale-Hubbell for over 15 years, received the Doug Swanson Award of Excellence in 2010, and completed the Harvard Negotiation Master Class.
