About Blake

Attorney Blake Kremer found his love for the law through the people he looked up to the most. Blake’s father and grandfather were both attorneys. He grew up listening to stories of how the legal system was used to bring people justice, and it was natural that Blake would choose this career path. Blake Kremer is a longtime member of the Pierce County and State Bar Associations, and he serves on the Law Fund for Client Protection at the WSBA. Blake has also drafted rule changes for the WSBA that have been adopted by the Board of Governors and by the State Supreme Court, and that have introduced new efficiencies to the practice of law. Attorney Blake Kremer received his law degree from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma in 1992. Before graduating from law school, Blake interned at a small firm in King County where he handled numerous DUI cases every day. He is dedicated to the cause of representing the accused and injured. Attorney Blake Kremer enjoys being an attorney because he loves to help people by finding solutions to difficult problems. Sometimes Blake understands that this can be very dramatic, like when a jury comes back from deliberations and gives Blake and his client exactly what the client needs. Often it is not dramatic at all - almost every day Blake speaks with clients on the phone and relieves their anxiety when he tells them the strategies they will follow together to resolve the client’s problems. Being an injury attorney gives Blake the opportunity, again and again, to help people through difficult, painful situations: this is a career he loves. Due to the love of his career, attorney Blake Kremer’s legal practice is diverse and includes criminal defense and personal injury work. Blake does pro bono work including victim advocacy, hospice work, and work for a pediatric HIV/AIDS support organization. Blake recognizes that he is lucky to handle some truly remarkable cases that reflect his commitment to social justice - the kind of cases my friends and I dreamed about working on when we were in law school. For example, Blake spent a large part of the last few years on a death penalty defense case. As another example, Blake defended Father Bill Bichsel, Sister Anne Montgomery, and several others after they broke into Kitsap Naval Base to bring attention to the base’s stockpile of nuclear weapons. Blake Kremer really stands out amongst his competitors during negotiations. Blake is very passionate about the process of negotiation. When he is negotiating on behalf of his clients, it involves every aspect of his career experience and his experience with each client. As Blake negotiates, he is considering the benefits of each stage of negotiation and balancing this against his experience in trying cases to juries if negotiation does not succeed. Blake Kremer’s first injury jury trial was in 1994, and he is able to rely on a career worth of experiences in pushing for the best results in negotiation. He handles cases from King, Pierce, Snohomish, and Thurston Counties, including Seattle, Tacoma, Everett, Olympia, Puget Sound, South Sound, and all of Western Washington, as well as handling cases virtually.
