About Brent

Brent Rhodes is an associate at Hathaway & Kunz, assisting clients in various practice areas including business, commercial and corporate law, civil litigation, natural resource law, and personal injury. A Wyoming native, Brent has a diverse professional and academic background. He earned his undergraduate degree in Wildlife Biology from the University of Wyoming, where he was an IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) Scholar focusing on conservation issues. After graduating in 2016, he worked as a biological consultant, coordinating with businesses and various state and federal wildlife agencies. Brent earned his Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Wyoming in 2020. During law school, he served as Student Director for the University’s Civil Legal Services Clinic and successfully led the Clinic’s first jury trial. Following graduation, Brent clerked for the Honorable Magistrate Mark L. Carman at the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming. Brent has conducted numerous jury and bench trials, earning recognition for persuasive advocacy and meticulous preparation. His dedication to excellence resulted in recognition as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2025. Dedicated to conservation and community service, Brent actively volunteers his time. He serves as Chair-Elect of the Wyoming State Bar Business Law Section and was recently appointed to the Wyoming Equal Justice Foundation Board. Brent frequently presents continuing legal education (CLE) sessions on the ethical impacts of artificial intelligence in legal practice, positioning himself at the forefront of technological innovation in law. Additionally, he serves as Treasurer of Laramie County Ducks Unlimited, earning Treasurer of the Year honors in 2024. In his personal time, Brent enjoys outdoor pursuits as a sportsman, skier, and golfer, spending as much time as possible with his wife and their two children in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
