About Brett
Brett was born in Omaha, Nebraska and grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He graduated from the University of Georgia, with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in English and minoring in History, where he was selected for the Dean’s list. Brett received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in Macon, Georgia, where he was the recipient of a merit scholarship and named to the Dean’s list in five semesters. At Mercer, Brett completed the Certificate in Advanced Legal Writing, Research, & Drafting. Upon graduation, he was selected for induction into the Brainerd Currie Honor Society for his outstanding academic achievements and service to the law school community. As a second and third year law student, Brett was selected as a Mentor in the Academic Success Program. He also achieved highest honors (CALI awards) in Advanced Writing Group, Criminal Law, Law and Cinema, Gender and the Law, and Law and Literature. A member of the Mercer Law Review, Brett was elected Articles Editor, Winter 2014 Volume 65, Number 2. Brett was also selected as a member of the Mercer Habeas Project. Upon graduation in 2014, Brett moved to the Las Vegas area and he has been practicing civil litigation ever since. Brett has tried several jury trials in District and Federal Court, and he has represented hundreds of clients in litigation.
