About Brian

Brian’s practice is primarily in the field of civil litigation. He has experience in handling matters ranging from personal injury claims to complex business disputes. Brian was born and raised in Lillington, North Carolina. He graduated from Harnett Central High School where he was a well-respected student-athlete. Brian was named as the News and Observer Student-Athlete of the Year in 2009 and 2010. Brian went on to North Carolina State University where he graduated cum laude and participated in football and baseball. Brian also completed an undergraduate degree at Campbell University where he participated in baseball. Brian went to law school at the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University. During his time in law school, Brian was a legal research and writing scholar and top student. Brian graduated 10th in his class of 136. After graduating from law school, Brian went on to work at a civil litigation firm in Raleigh, North Carolina. Brian gained valuable experience in handling a variety of civil matters. Brian gained recognition from his peers for the work that he performed during his time in Raleigh. He was named as One to Watch® by Best Lawyers® for 2023 in the field of Personal Injury Litigation. Brian made the decision to move back to his hometown to work in the community where he was raised. He sees it as a great honor to provide advice and counsel to those in need. Since joining Bain & McRae, LLP in 2022, Brian has handled an impressive range of civil litigation matters. Brian has prevailed for his clients in jury trials, handled administrative appeals before local school boards, handled EEOC charges for local businesses, completed stock and asset purchase agreements, and handled various zoning matters from the application stage to appeals in Superior Court.
