About C.

C. Benjamin Cooper is a Columbus-based trial and appellate lawyer who helps people navigate life-changing harm through the civil justice system. He represents plaintiffs in wrongful death, catastrophic injury, civil rights, medical and legal malpractice, and complex business disputes. His work has led to multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements, including record-setting and reform-driven outcomes. He was at the top of his class at UVA, both undergrad and law school, and was a rising star at a well-known Washington, D.C. law firm. He clerked for R. Guy Cole, Jr., Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He also teaches and guest lectures on oral advocacy at the University of Virginia School of Law. He scored in the 100th percentile on the Ohio bar exam. He co-founded a statewide free legal clinic in Ohio and has volunteered with Legal Aid. He lives in Columbus with his wife and two daughters. He serves on the board of the Worthington Chamber Orchestra and is a member of the United Way of Central Ohio’s Success by Third Grade Advisory Committee.
