About Catherine
Catherine was born and raised on a farm in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a double major in Biology and Philosophy before moving to Boston where she spent seven years as paralegal at an Intellectual Property firm. When Catherine started law school, she envisioned a future in Intellectual Property, but that changed after she joined Maine Law’s Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic and represented a domestic abuse survivor in a Protection from Abuse matter as a student attorney. Catherine’s time at the Clinic sparked her passion for advocacy, and more specifically for providing a voice for survivors of domestic abuse. Catherine brings her zealous advocacy to the team at Moncure and Barnicle. While she litigates a variety of civil cases including family law matters, Catherine specializes in working with survivors of domestic abuse. Her client centered approach to lawyering offers her clients the opportunity to regain their autonomy and take an active role in their cases.
