About Christian
John Christian Cooper joined Matt Hardin Law in 2016. He is a 2009 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law. While he was at UT, Christian was an active member of the University of Tennessee Law Review where he was an Articles Editor. Christian was also a member of the Baker Journal for Applied Public Policy. Prior to attending UT, Christian attended the University of Mississippi where he graduated in 2006. Christian graduated Ole Miss Magna Cum Laude. He was a recipient of the Forrest C. Mobely Scholarship and Who’s Who Among Americas Universities and Colleges while at Ole Miss. Originally from Jackson, Tennessee, Christian has practiced throughout the state of Tennessee. Prior to moving to Nashville in 2012, Christian worked at several litigation firms in Knoxville, Tennessee handling a variety of legal matters including personal injury, workers’ compensation, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, criminal law, and corporate law. Christian is a member of the Nashville Bar Association and the Young Lawyers Division. In his free time Christian enjoys mountain biking, hiking, boating, and participating in and watching sports, especially Tennessee and Ole Miss football.
