About Craig
Craig Laporte has been practicing law, principally in the area of personal injury litigation since he graduated third in his class from Stetson University College of Law in 1983. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in 1975, he spent eight years as a deputy sheriff with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. He is admitted to practice law in all Florida state courts and federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court. Craig has been active in both the local and state bar associations, having served as Chairman of the Sixth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, the local Florida Bar Grievance Committee, the Florida Bar Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee and a special statewide Unlicensed Practice of Law in Multidiscliplinary Firms Committee. He has been president of the West Pasco Bar Association, and is an active member of the Florida Justice Association, formerly the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers. He has had appellate cases reported from the Florida Supreme Court, as well as the Second and Fifth District Courts of Appeal. He also serves as a Certified Circuit Civil Mediator. Craig’s primary areas of practice are all types of injury and death cases, insurance claims and civil trials.
