Dan Russo is a seasoned trial lawyer and criminal defense specialist. He has conducted over 200 criminal jury trials, participated in more more than 25 homicide trials, and been involved in 10 major civil jury trials. His experience also covers over 15 special circumstances jury trials. Dan Russo navigates the appellate process, handling appeals and writs in California Courts of Appeal and Federal Courts. He has provided expert testimony on counsel conduct and competence in various Superior Courts across California. Mr. Russo’s credibility shines through his appointments as counsel in Contra Costa, Solano, and Napa Counties. He has served as an expert witness on counsel competence during legal proceedings. Dan Russo actively contributes to legal education by reviewing chapters for the Continuing Education of the Bar Book on Criminal Law and Procedure. He has represented plaintiffs in major litigation cases, including the noteworthy “Brewster v Grummer et al,” which held attorneys liable for conspiracy with an insurance company to defraud insured individuals in 2007.
