About Dana

Devoted to the rights of workers, Dana has practiced labor and employment law since 1989 as an associate, then partner, at a labor-law firm in Kansas City, Kansas, and as a solo practitioner. She joined Boyd Kenter Thomas & Parrish in 2014 with the goal of better serving the full range of clients’ legal needs. Growing up in Independence, Missouri, Dana considered an academic career, but decided to attend law school instead. Inspired by her grandfather, who was a member of the Laborers’ Union, and her stepfather, a member of I.B.E.W., when Dana decided to become an attorney, she knew she wanted to represent workers. She has represented unions and employees in state court, federal court, before the National Labor Relations Board, and in numerous arbitration hearings. Dana lives on seven acres in rural Johnson County, Missouri, with her numerous four-legged “kids” - all rescues. When there is time to relax, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, or sitting in front of the fireplace or on the deck with a good book.
