About Daniel

For the past decade, Daniel Hall has focused his practice on civil litigation, general liability defense, property and casualty, workers’ compensation defense, subrogation, insurance coverage, and professional malpractice. An effective litigator, Daniel has shaped case law in the state of Tennessee and is known throughout southwest Virginia for his vigorous representation of clients. From dogged investigation and legal analysis to vigorous trial practice and appellate advocacy, Daniel provides premier service throughout the litigation process. Daniel was a top graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law and recipient of the Robert E. Pryor Award of Excellence in Advocacy. Daniel came to Midkiff, Muncie & Ross in 2013. The first focus of his practice was the Tennessee Workers’ Compensation Reform Act of 2013, guiding the firm through the transition to the new law. He quickly joined the property, coverage, and liability teams, and has been involved in complex, multiple party litigation, million-dollar-plus litigation and settlements, and challenging statutory interpretation through the highest state courts. Daniel is well-versed in litigation before both administrative bodies and traditional courts, and is an effective representative in alternative dispute resolution. Outside of work, Daniel is an avid hiker, paddleboarder, and weightlifter. He and his wife, Katie, are animal enthusiasts. In the past, Daniel has been involved in youth sports coaching, youth mentorship, and efforts to support the blossoming downtown Bristol music and art scenes.
