About David

Dave formerly served as the Director of the Office of Immigration Litigation (OIL), District Court Section (DCS), at the United States Department of Justice. OIL-DCS was responsible for all immigration litigation beginning in the trial courts and all appeals therefrom. After his almost four decades at the Department of Justice (eleven years in the Criminal Division and twenty-eight years in the Civil Division's Office of Immigration Litigation), Dave joined his former colleague, John Charles Bell to work on immigration matters that require Dave's energy and inventiveness, and John often describes Dave as 'a dog with a bone.' Dave brings unmatched expertise, insight, and legal talent that are invaluable and unique to our firm.
