David Kwang Soo Kim (David K. S. Kim) is the managing partner of the firm’s New York office. He is a former United States Immigration Judge who served in that capacity for three years from 2022 to 2025. Mr. Kim recently joined the firm shortly after serving as an Immigration Judge in September 2025. Partnering with the firm’s Co-Founder, Ira J. Kurzban, Esq., the nation’s leading figure in immigration law, and joining a team of outstanding partners and attorneys who are also leaders in their field, Mr. Kim brings to the firm even greater synergy to further bolster the firm’s already outstanding reputation in the legal community and exceptional services to its clients. Having litigated and adjudicated some of the most complex issues involving immigration and nationality law, he brings to the firm 25 years of professional experience in both public and private sector. Mr. Kim concentrates in all areas of immigration and nationality law, including employment and family based immigrant and nonimmigrant petitions and visas, removal defense, and federal court litigation.
