About Debra
Ms. Postil is a trial attorney with a reputation as a fierce and commanding presence in the courtroom, having tried 43 jury trials in complex cases including homicide, vehicular manslaughter, fraud, sexual assault, and child abuse. She has extensive experience with writs, appeals, and parole hearings, and has argued successfully before the Fourth District Court of Appeal. She also served as an adjunct faculty member and founded a cultural arts nonprofit focused on social-emotional learning. She completed her undergraduate studies at UCLA in 1998 and received her JD from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 2003. She was a national finalist in the Hispanic National Bar Association Moot Court Competition and a top oralist on the Scott Moot Court Honors Board. She is admitted to the California State Bar and the Supreme Court of the State of California in 2003, and the United States District Court, Central District of California.
