About Dennis

Attorney Dennis N. Cannon, Jr. was educated in the Richland County, South Carolina schools, having graduated from A.C. Flora High School. He attended college at Lincoln University in Oxford, P.A. In 1977, he obtained his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh and was sworn into the Pennsylvania Bar in the same year. He was sworn into the South Carolina Bar in 1978. Prior to establishing his law practice, Dennis obtained a clerkship with the Honorable Ernest A. Finney, Jr., Circuit Court Judge, where he learned the mechanics of trying cases. He continued his career serving in the Office of General Counsel for the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control handling a variety of environmental and health related matters. Dennis has served on numerous boards including the Kershaw County United Way; the Kershaw County Chamber of Commerce; and the South Carolina National Bank Advisory Board. In addition, he has served as an attorney coach for a school’s’ mock trial programs and as a mentor in the United Way Mentoring Program.
