Derrick Reese, Sr. Managing Attorney at The Reese Law Center, LLC, was born in Washington, DC, and grew up in Robbins, IL. He joined the US Army at 17, earning his high school diploma. He later attended Kennedy-King College and Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Paralegal Studies. After an injury, he pursued law, taking the LSAT and attending Thurgood Marshall School of Law, graduating in the top 5% of his class. He was a member of The Who’s Who of Law School Students and a recipient of the George Foreman Scholarship Fund. He also received an American Bar Association scholarship for his Masters of Law, graduating at the top of his class from Loyola University in Chicago with an LLM in 1999. With over 26 years of experience, Derrick Reese is known for his zealous advocacy and ability to relate to his clients' backgrounds, fighting for their rights within the criminal justice system.
