About Eliza

Eliza grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont in 1996. After college, she moved to Boston where she worked in finance for several years. Eliza subsequently attended Northeastern University School of Law and graduated in 2001. After graduating from law school, Eliza moved to Cape Cod and practiced in the Hyannis-office of the Boston-based law firm of Nutter, McClennen & Fish, LLP, where she became a partner in Real Estate and Finance department. In the Spring of 2025, Eliza left Nutter and joined LaTanzi, Spaulding & Landreth. Eliza’s practice is focused on zoning, permitting and land use entitlements. She represents corporations, national developers, and homeowners before zoning boards, planning boards, conservation commissions and other municipal bodies. She also has extensive experience representing clients before the Cape Cod Commission, a land use regional planning and regulatory agency. Eliza is a past Chair of the YMCA of Cape Cod and a past President of the Hyannis Area Chamber of Commerce. She currently serves on the board of the Cape Cod Economic Development Council, Inc. She is also a corporator for The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod. In 2010, Eliza was named as an Up & Coming Lawyer by the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly and the Massachusetts Bar Association. She received the 2009 Public Service Award from the Yarmouth Area Chamber of Commerce. In 2011, she received a 40 Under 40 Award from Cape & Plymouth Business magazine.
