Elizabeth A. King is an associate attorney at Fabian, Sklar, King & Liss, P.C. Prior to joining the firm, Elizabeth served as staff counsel for the Auto Club Group, defending the insurance company and its insureds in first- and third-party automobile insurance and homeowner’s liability cases. At the Auto Club Group, she handled over 1,000 insurance matters, including defending litigation, conducting examinations under oath, and reviewing insurance policies for coverage determinations. Elizabeth frequently presented to both Claims department personnel and staff counsel on coverage and litigation topics. She has successfully defended numerous claims to verdict for both her individual and insurance company clients. Elizabeth enhances Fabian, Sklar, King & Liss’s insurance practice expertise through her experience of working directly with insurance claims representatives, including her deep understanding of insurance company priorities and concerns when evaluating and adjusting claims. A fierce advocate for her clients, Elizabeth believes the core skill in the practice of law is problem-solving, with knowledge, understanding, diligence, and creativity being the critical components of finding solutions for her clients. Elizabeth earned her B.A. from the University of Michigan and J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Michigan Association for Justice, Woman Lawyers Association of Michigan, and serves on the council for the Insurance & Indemnity Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. She is admitted to practice in Michigan and federal court.
