Emma Lingel-Gary

About Emma

Emma Gary is passionate about accessing justice for people facing discrimination. To pursue this passion, Emma joined V. James Simone Law and Bohm Law Group in November 2024 as an Associate Attorney. Emma received her J.D. from UCLA School of Law in 2023 with a specialization in the David J. Epstein Public Interest Law and Policy program. She received her B.A. in History and Art History from UC Davis in 2018. Prior to joining V. James DeSimone Law, Emma was a Staff Attorney at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, representing low-income clients in the areas of housing, family law, immigration, reentry, and government benefits. During law school, Emma externed for the Federal Public Defender in the Central District of California and the Los Angeles County Public Defender, where she engaged in criminal defense, crimmigration research, and habeas work. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Emma is excited to continue to pursue justice for clients in her community.
