Eric Pistorius is a retired Illinois judge who now operates his own law office, focusing on mediation and arbitration. He earned his B.A. with Honors from Western Illinois University in 1981 and his J.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 1984. He practiced personal injury law in the Metro East area for 21 years, handling hundreds of cases and over 50 jury trials. In 2005, he was appointed Resident Circuit Judge of Jersey County by the Illinois Supreme Court, serving for 15 years and presiding over various cases, including personal injury. He also served as Chief Judge for the 7th Judicial Circuit from 2014-2015. Since retiring from the bench, he has successfully mediated over 25 cases and acted as a neutral arbitrator in numerous UIM arbitration cases.
