Ms. Mendez has specialized in estate planning, trust administration, and probate for more than 20 years. Ms. Mendez believes that building relationships and understanding her clients is the key to providing great legal service. She is sensitive to the personal nature of estate planning and is committed to addressing the concerns of each client by building innovative, personalized strategies to advance each client’s unique needs and desire to protect financial legacies. Ms. Mendez distills sophisticated legal concepts into clear, actionable advice for her clients with timelines and milestones to achieve goals. She has extensive experience administering probate estates and trusts, which often include complex issues involving real estate, businesses, and tax matters. Ms. Mendez holds a Master of Laws degree in taxation and has broad experience preparing federal and state estate, inheritance, generation-skipping tax, and fiduciary income tax returns, including representation in tax audits and controversies. Ms. Mendez received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Michigan State University, her Juris Doctor from University of Toledo, and her Master of Laws in Taxation from Wayne State University.
