About Felicia
Felicia Hunt focuses her practice on Family Law. Though primarily a litigator, Felicia recognizes the value of attempting to reach agreements outside of court when possible and is a practical and accomplished negotiator. To that end, she also represents clients in relation to prenuptial agreements and postnuptial agreements and is a nuanced and committed mediator and Collaborative Divorce lawyer. Mediations and collaborative cases are on the rise, particularly since the pandemic, as families are looking to move swiftly and more privately through the divorce process. Felicia is trained and experienced to finalize cases and bring families fully through their transitions, whether through mediation, Collaborative Divorce or traditional litigation. All options are available and are now possible without even entering a courtroom. Felicia’s time in Connecticut’s family, civil, and criminal courthouses has provided a well-rounded experience which she now draws upon when providing efficient and thoughtful advocacy for her clients. This includes strategies based on ongoing litigation experience, observations of how current judges are deciding cases and updates to the latest developments in Connecticut matrimonial and family law. Felicia graduated, cum laude, from Providence College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, with minors in both Spanish and Theology. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut. Felicia’s degree in Philosophy was born from a love of writing, which has since led to the opportunity to co-author several briefs to the Supreme and Appellate Courts of Connecticut, as well as various trial briefs for submission to the Connecticut Superior Court. She is licensed to practice before Connecticut’s Federal and State courts. Felicia has spoken on family law and lawyering for the Connecticut Bar Association. She is a member of the Connecticut Collaborative Divorce Group. In addition, she was appointed as a Family Matters Special Master. In this role, she facilitates mediations between parties in the hopes of settling out of court. She continues to contribute to her law school alma mater, UConn School of Law, by serving as a panelist for new law students interested in Family Law and as a part of the Husky Mentor Network.
