About Gabriel
Gabriel Kantrovitz became an attorney in 1937. He was a pioneer of the Massachusetts Workers’ Compensation system and dedicated his practice to representing people badly injured at work. Notably, in the early 1950s, he famously defied Senator Joseph McCarthy by refusing to allow him to interrogate and prosecute accused GE workers, a stand against constitutional injustice. He practiced until his death in 2001.
