Gary F. Lynch is a founding partner of Lynch Carpenter, with over thirty years of experience representing plaintiffs in employment and consumer lawsuits. He has a national practice focusing on employee wage rights, consumer protection, and data breach and cybersecurity. He has argued in numerous federal and state courts, handled over 100 class actions, and achieved multi-million-dollar recoveries. He served as Counsel of Record in the U.S. Supreme Court case Symczyk v. Genesis and successfully argued before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in Dittman v. UPMC, establishing a common law duty to protect electronically-stored personal information. He has been appointed to leadership positions in major data breach cases, including Co-lead Counsel for financial institution plaintiffs in the Equifax and Home Depot data breach litigations, and on the Executive Committee for the Target data breach litigation. He was also appointed Co-Lead Class Counsel in Re: Zillow Group, Inc. Session Replay Software Litigation. He is a frequent lecturer on class litigation, cybersecurity, and wage issues.
