About George

George has spent almost twenty-five years in the courtrooms of Florida becoming proficient as an advocate. George G. Angeliadis was born in a small suburb of Youngstown, Ohio. He received a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of South Florida in 1991, and then attended South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas, where he earned his Juris Doctor Degree in December 1995. He was then licensed to practice law in the State of Florida in April 1996. George began his legal career serving as an Assistant State Attorney in Hernando County for four years. He then spent eighteen years in private practice with a law firm in Hernando County focusing his practice in the areas of general civil litigation, construction law, government law, criminal law, and family law. George represented many private and public clients. In 2018, after a thorough vetting process, the Governor of Florida appointed George to the position of Circuit Court Judge where he served the people of the Fifth Judicial Circuit (Citrus, Hernando, Lake, Marion, and Sumter Counties) with distinction until January 2021. As a Circuit Judge, George presided over civil jury and non-jury trials, family law cases, probate cases, and the Hernando County Specialty Courts. In addition to his service as an attorney and judge, George has also been involved in many community-related organizations outside of the courtroom.
