About J.

Tanner was born and raised in Manatee County, Florida. He graduated from the Florida State University with a degree in Marketing and went on receive his J.D. from The Florida State College of Law as well. Tanner knew he wanted to be an attorney from a very young age. By age 16, Tanner was already working at the Heintz Law Firm, scanning and organizing client files. This early immersion into the legal profession made Tanner aware of the unfair tactics used by insurance companies and sparked his dream to help clients obtain full justice. During his time at Florida State University’s College of Law, Tanner worked and interned with some of the most experienced trial attorneys and judges in Florida. He served as a clerk for The Honorable Judge Robert Farrance in the 12th Judicial Circuit in Manatee County, as well as an intern at the prestigious law firm of Hinkle & Foran in Tallahassee. At age 28, Tanner became a member of The Million Dollar Advocates Forum. This membership is exclusive to attorneys who have won million-dollar verdicts, awards, or settlements for their clients. Fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers have been permitted membership into The Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Tanner is also a member of The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 under 40.
