Fighting For Clients Who Have Been Wronged I believe strongly that every attorney has a responsibility to use their experience and ability to make society a better place for people. I am privileged to be able to say that my job is to fight for people against injustice. It is a life decision for me, as a lawyer and as a human being, from the courthouses in New Jersey, to the jailhouses in Ferguson, Missouri. At Shebell & Shebell, LLC, I work with clients that I believe in, clients that inspire me to fight for them against insurance companies, giant corporations, police departments, and employers who have wronged them. I never lose sight of the courage that my clients have to face off against these giants. Every day, I am doing something for someone who absolutely needs me to be their lawyer to avoid simply being a victim. I started as a trial attorney in Chicago. Using a special license that allows law students to actively practice as an attorney while in law school, I tried hundreds of cases and handled appeals for the City of Chicago. I received the designation of certified civil trial attorney from the New Jersey Supreme Court within the minimum possible time for designation, having demonstrated in only five years of practice the necessary trial experience, continuing legal education, reputation as demonstrated by submission of a list of judges and attorneys that could attest to my legal skill, and passage of an examination. My work in the courtroom continued through millions of dollars in large verdicts and settlements on behalf of injured people, victims of discrimination and whistleblowers, wage and hour cases, consumer fraud, and victims of improper police harassment, brutality, and wrongful incarceration. In 2014, I brought my law office to Shrewsbury, New Jersey and joined Tom and Ray Shebell, two of the most experienced, imaginative and passionate people I have met in the law.
