Jacob Shapiro is a personal injury attorney who has been practicing exclusively in plaintiff's personal injury since 1996. He graduated as valedictorian from Cupertino High School, attended UC Berkeley as a Regent Scholar and Alumni Scholar, majoring in Political Science with High Honors. He then graduated summa cum laude from Santa Clara Law School, receiving American Jurisprudence Awards in Torts and Business Organizations, and was the Best Oral Advocate in Moot Court. Mr. Shapiro worked for Blackman Legal Group for 17 years before starting his own practice. He has handled numerous six and seven-figure cases and is licensed to practice in state and federal courts throughout California. He is published in the American Association of Justice's October 2010 issue of Trial on elevator litigation and is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California. He also won a landmark decision in the California Court of Appeals regarding the non-delegable duty of commercial property owners for defective elevators. He is dedicated to helping injured people and fighting insurance companies, focusing on maximizing client recoveries and providing personalized attention.
