Jim Militello is the Managing Partner of Prime Law Group, LLC. His practice is devoted primarily to representing business, individuals and organizations (including public and private entities) in a wide range of civil matters involving business transactions, contractural issues, estate planning, real estate purchase/sale, development and zoning, corporate issues and municipal law. Relying on his background from the McHenry County State’s Attorneys Office and experience in municipal law, Mr. Militello also devotes a significant amount of his practice to governmental entities such as fire districts, townships, road districts, villages, and other units of government. Throughout his legal career, Mr. Militello has represented individuals and businesses at all stages of business development: from startup to wind-down, to buy sells, NDA’s, to family transfers. His business clients range from large, privately held corporations to small businesses and sole proprietors. He also has experience advising units of local governments such as counties, fire districts, municipalities, townships, and road districts. A native of McHenry County, Mr. Militello graduated from Marian Central High School in 1984. He attended Marquette University in Milwaukee and graduated in 1988 with a B.S. with a major in Accounting and minor in Finance. Mr. Militello earned his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in 1991. Mr. Militello was admitted to practice law before the State Courts of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and McHenry County Bar Association. Mr. Militello is also admitted in 2006 to practice in Wisconsin.
