He has personally prosecuted an FTCA claim against the Yakama Nation Police for negligent police pursuit resulting in a six-figure settlement. James recovered over $90,000 on behalf of a following driver in a rear-end collision - where the insurance company had offered nothing prior to litigation. James also recovered $75,000 against a dog owner for an injury evaluated by the insurance company as a “minor bite” - the settlement was over 6 times the original top offer. James currently serves as the Yakima County Bar Association president for the 2024-25 year. In addition, he was named a “40 Under 40” lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers multiple years and has been named a “One to Watch” by Best Lawyers. James is also active on the Prosser Memorial Health Foundation Board of Directors.
