Attorney James P. James graduated from Tufts University in 1998 and Columbia Law School in 2001. After law school, he worked in Boston for nearly a decade as a litigator at a top-tier international law firm, where his practice focused on civil litigation, securities arbitration, and financial services regulatory defense. In 2011, James founded his own firm in downtown Boston, where he continued to focus on these practice areas, while also expanding his practice to include condominium law, construction law, landlord-tenant law, and debt collection. During this time, James secured multiple trial and arbitration victories, recovered millions of dollars for his clients through awards and settlements, represented financial professionals in regulatory actions brought by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and secured favorable results for both landlords and tenants in various matters. He argued in both state and federal courts and represented clients throughout Massachusetts. In 2023, James moved from the Boston area to Falmouth and transferred his law practice to Cape Cod. Upon meeting Attorney Bruce A. Bierhans in 2024, James was eager to join his firm. Like Bruce, James takes pride in representing “the little guy,” providing his clients with big law firm quality at a more reasonable cost and taking on challenges that other lawyers may have turned down.
