About James
James began his practice at Jabar, Batten, Ringer, & LaLiberty in September of 2010 and became a partner in 2015. His practice areas at Jabar LaLiberty, LLC include civil litigation, bankruptcy, criminal defense, and personal injury. James is vice president of the Waterville Bar Association, as well as a member of Maine State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He graduated cum laude from the University of Maine School Of Law in 2009. During law school, James gained experience as a student attorney at the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic and also interned at Taylor, McCormack, & Frame, LLC in Portland, Maine. James is a 2002 cum laude graduate of Colby College, where he was a four-year member of the Colby Men's Ice Hockey Team. He also spent his senior year of high school in Ann Arbor, Michigan playing for the United States Under-18 National Team Development Program during the program's inaugural season. He is currently a Division III men's and women's ice hockey official in the NESCAC and ECAC East divisions.
