About Jayson
Jayson Hamrick joined Bailey, Javins & Carter in 2024, focusing on deliberate intent, workplace injury, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and negligence cases, including coal mining accidents, trucking accidents, medical malpractice, products liability, construction, and commercial shipping personal injury cases. A native West Virginian from Elkins, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from West Virginia University in 2015 with a B.A. in Political Science, and earned an MBA from Fairmont State University in 2016. He received his J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law in 2019, where he was a member of the National Moot Court Competition Team and awarded membership in the Order of Barristers. Jayson began his career as an insurance and corporate defense lawyer, gaining insight into defense strategies, which he now uses to advocate for injured individuals. He was recognized as the Young Lawyer of the Year in 2023 by the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and pets, golfing, and automotive racing.
