Jeffery P. Brothers has been practicing law in Jefferson Parish and the Greater New Orleans area for the past 25 years. Mr. Brothers was born and raised in the New Orleans area. Mr. Brothers received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Louisiana State University in 1990. He obtained his law degree from L.S.U. Law School in 1993 and was admitted and licensed to practice law that year. For the past 20 years, Mr. Brothers has been practicing in the areas of personal injury law, divorce, custody and support law, real estate and expropriation law, business and commercial law, and succession and estate law. In the area of divorce law, Mr. Brothers has the experience to handle contested and uncontested cases efficiently and the knowledge to provide thorough representation in the complicated cases. Mr. Brothers has been successful in handling difficult custody and support cases involving parents and also involving grandparents. In the area of business and real estate law, Mr. Brothers has valuable experience handling contractual matters, starting a business, and transactions involving real estate. Finally, Mr. Brothers has successfully resolved several insurance and personal injury claims of his clients against insurance companies and their adjusters. Mr. Brothers has handled cases involving minor injuries and cases involving more extensive injuries, such as disk and ligament injuries, which have required surgery. If settlement of a legal dispute is possible, Mr. Brothers has the necessary experience to negotiate a desirable resolution to the legal dispute. However, when the opposing party is not being reasonable, Mr. Brothers will vigorously pursue the matter in court as he has done on numerous occasions in the past 25 years.
