Jeremy Lessem is one of the co-founding partners of Lessem, Newstat & Tooson, LLP. As a criminal defense and personal injury attorney who has practiced law since 2001, he is an aggressive advocate who treats people as people, not just as clients. He leaves no stone unturned when it comes to defending a case and takes pride in providing the highest quality of legal services. He is proud of the firm he has helped build and proud of the dedication shown by each and every member of the team. Jeremy Lessem grew up around a courtroom. After he graduated from the top-tier University of Michigan Law School, Jeremy began his career practicing civil litigation. After three years of being a civil litigator, he decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and began practicing criminal law in 2004. Jeremy co-founded the law firm Lessem & Newstat in 2011, which later became Lessem, Newstat & Tooson in 2016. He has represented numerous high-profile clients and is a Certified Criminal Law Specialist with the State Bar of California. Jeremy has been featured in various news outlets and is widely considered one of the pre-eminent mental health defense attorneys in California. In 2018, Jeremy became a registered NFL player agent.
