About Jeremy

Jeremy Wood’s journey from his formative years in London, England to his distinguished legal career in Texas is marked by a commitment to service, leadership, and excellence. After spending seven years in London, Jeremy returned to the United States, where he attended Northwestern Military & Naval Academy in Lake Geneva, WI. Following his graduation, Jeremy enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in Dallas, Texas in January of 1998. During his service with Charlie Company, Jeremy demonstrated exceptional leadership, earning meritorious promotions and accolades such as NCO of the Quarter and NCO of the Year in 2002. Post-military service, Jeremy pursued higher education, obtaining his undergraduate degree in criminal justice and subsequently earning his Juris Doctorate in 2008, followed by passing the Texas Bar Exam. Seeking to continue his service to the community, Jeremy commenced his legal career as a prosecutor with the Collin County District Attorney’s Office. He later transitioned to Grayson County, where he served as an Assistant District Attorney, handling a wide range of criminal cases. Jeremy’s dedication and expertise in the legal field have been recognized through numerous accolades, including being awarded Texoma Hero for honorable military and community service in June 2020, and most recently, being honored with the 2023-2024 Prosecutor of the Year award for his outstanding work on several jury trials. Beyond his legal career, Jeremy actively contributes to his community, having served or currently contributing on various boards and teams, including the Grayson County Sexual Assault Response Team, Multidisciplinary Team, and the Advisory Board of the Red River Law Enforcement Academy. He has also demonstrated his commitment to philanthropy, co-chairing the United Way Campaign in 2020, which raised $1.2 million. Jeremy attributes his success to the unwavering support of his family. He is married to the love of his life, Trish, and together they have three children: Kaylee, Kayson, and Jagger, and two pups, General George and Sir Winston. Jeremy and his family are members of the First Baptist Church in Sherman, Texas and reside in Pottsboro, TX.
