About Joe

Joe is a native Floridian, born in Lighthouse Point, Florida. He earned his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Following his first year of law school, Joe interned for the Honorable James Lawrence King of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. While in law school, Joe served as Managing Editor for the Florida Law Review, Associate Justice of the University of Florida Supreme Court, and Teaching Assistant for Legal Writing and Appellate Advocacy. Joe was also an active member of Florida Blue Key, serving as Chairman of the organization’s Judiciary Committee. Before attending law school, Joe earned his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of Florida with a major in Telecommunication - News. Prior to joining The Bruner Law Firm, Joe was a litigation attorney at a Fort Lauderdale-based firm where he practiced complex commercial litigation and employment law. At his prior firm, Joe represented plaintiffs and defendants in cases involving business torts, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, restrictive covenants, and employment discrimination. On the topic of employment discrimination, Joe published an article on the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark 2020 ruling with regard to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 entitled “The Supreme Court Speaks: What Employers Need to Know Moving Forward.” Outside the office, Joe enjoys basketball, cycling, and rooting for his beloved Florida Gators. Joe is excited to call the Florida Panhandle his new home, and feels privileged to represent the injured in their struggle for justice against insurance companies and large corporations.
