About Joel

Joel Buckley is the litigation managing attorney at Jones Kahan Law. He was born-and-raised in Youngstown, Ohio and earned his undergraduate degree from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. Mr. Buckley then headed out west to attend law school at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law. Upon graduation, Mr. Buckley began practicing civil litigation with an emphasis on business, Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, and secured transactions litigation. Mr. Buckley next took a job as In-House counsel at Liberty Mutual Insurance for 3.5 years where his practice was heavily focused on the defense of the types of claims that we handle at Jones Kahan Law including, but not limited to: automobile accidents, dog bites, premise liability, products liability, and wrongful death cases. Upon moving to Cincinnati, where his wife was born-and-raised, Mr. Buckley joined our team. His experience doing in-house defense work for a major insurance company is a valuable asset for Jones Kahan Law, bringing a fresh perspective when litigating complex cases.
