About John
John Bruno is a trial attorney and trial instructor at Claggett, Sykes & Garza, LLC. He consults on the firm’s high-exposure litigation and helps train its trial lawyers. An accomplished trial attorney, John has tried over 100 cases to a jury verdict. John began his career as an Assistant District Attorney for the Plymouth DA’s Office before joining The Hanover in 1987 where he worked for 37 years handling cases from multiple lines of business and multiple management roles. Before joining CSG in 2024, John was a regional managing attorney of Hanover’s New England staff counsel office and the New England complex case team. More recently, he stood up the New England complex case team and simultaneously managed the New England staff counsel office, all while personally handling a full caseload of MCU files. Beyond his professional accomplishments, John is an engaged and engaging leader who serves on the Board of Selectmen in Halifax, Massachusetts and treats all with dignity and respect. Outside of work John enjoys traveling with his wife, playing golf, and spending time with his six grandchildren.
