About John
John “Craig” Cotton was born in Athens, Georgia, but raised in Cordele, Georgia. Craig graduated from Fullington Academy in Pinehurst in 1987 and attended both Valdosta State and Georgia Southwestern before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1989. Craig spent six (6) years in the U.S. Army, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6). He graduated from Columbus State University in 1997 and moved back to Cordele to work in his father’s law practice. In 2001, he earned his law degree from Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. He has been practicing law in Cordele and statewide since 2001. John has many specializations, but his main practice areas consist of Wrongful Death, Tractor Trailer Crashes, Car Wrecks, Personal Injury, and Criminal Defense. He has been practicing law in these areas for over 20 years and has represented hundreds of people in these tough situations.
