About John

Mike, a native of Madison, Virginia, attended the United States Air Force Academy and served in the military before attending the University of Arkansas Law School, graduating in 1973. He returned to Madison and served as the Clerk of the Circuit Court from 1973 until 1995. Admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 1976, Mike began practicing law in 1995. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar Trust and Estate Section and the Madison-Greene Bar Association, serving as President from 1985 until 2017. He also served on the Germanna Community College Board from 2006 to 2010. Mike is committed to advocating for and serving the legal needs of the people in the Madison and Greene communities and the surrounding counties. He enjoys hiking and biking and pursues his life-long interest in flying as a Certified Flight Instructor.
