About Jorge

Jorge Riera leads the firm’s Real Estate/Title Division. He is a seasoned securities lawyer with over 20 years of experience, advocating for investors and protecting their rights. He served as Co-Chair of the PIABA Arbitration Committee. He gained extensive knowledge of investment and securities fraud during a decade at the SEC’s Division of Enforcement, where he led numerous investigations and enforcement actions. He also served as in-house counsel and regional director of compliance at HSBC Bank North America. Before his legal career, he practiced as a CPA. He holds a business degree in Finance and International Business from Florida International University, a master’s degree in accounting from Nova Southeastern University, and a law degree from Nova Southeastern University.
